The DC Bar Pro Bono Center is sponsoring a walk-in legal clinic for community-based entrepreneurs with general legal questions about their aspiring and existing small businesses.

Topic: Small business brief advice legal clinic
Clients: DC entrepreneurs and nonprofits with low incomes or serving economically disadvantaged communities
When: Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5 to 7:30 PM
Where: Anacostia Arts Center, 1231 Marion Barry Ave SE
Who: In-house attorneys
Experience: None required.
Training: No specific training required; clients commonly present issues familiar to ACC NCR members. DC Bar Pro Bono Center will have an optional training on relevant topics on May 6th. Volunteers will receive an email with more information from the DC Bar.
Support: Volunteers will work in groups and DC Bar Pro Bono Center will have resources on-site.
Time: This is a brief advice clinic. Volunteers are not expected to provide ongoing representation.
Work: This is a brief advice clinic. Volunteers are not expected to provide ongoing representation. Many clients receive technical assistance from local small business providers. Attorneys can work in small groups or pair with veteran volunteers. Common questions include corporate formation, contract review, employment questions, and more.
Insurance: Provided by DC Bar Pro Bono Center to all volunteers.
