Bankruptcy can wreak havoc on the receivables, contracts, and business relationships of trade partners— and many companies are not prepared when their customer, vendor or trade partner files for relief.
A Bankruptcy Primer for In-House Counsel will provide an overview of key concepts and pitfalls that every in-house attorney should understand.
Topics will include:
- the automatic stay and its impact on litigation and collections
- critical deadlines and creditor rights in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 cases
- contract issues
- strategies to maximize recovery and minimize risk in bankruptcy proceedings.
