Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC GeorgiaIn this session, we will explore the world of influencer marketing, examining what works, what to avoid, and how brands can authentically connect with audiences through trusted voices. We'll begin with a breakdown of influencer marketing fundamentals, followed by a discussion of best practices and common pitfalls. Real-world case studies and cautionary tales—the "traps"—will illustrate the importance of clear strategy, compliance, and alignment between influencer and brand. Whether you're new to the space or looking to refine your approach, this program offers practical insights to help you build smarter, more effective influencer campaigns.
Leading the conversation will be Shreya Desai of Kilpatrick, who will be joined by Lauren Tilashalski—an Atlanta-based attorney and tastemaker—and Laurisa Curran, in-house counsel at the American Cancer Society. Together, they will provide practical, firsthand insights on navigating the influencer marketing landscape and building authentic, compliant partnerships.
