Increasingly inhouse lawyers, not just GCs, know that they need to be 'more than just lawyers' and go 'beyond legal' to do 'higher value' work.
In this session, Peter Connor will click down from those high-level expressions to provide a more granular and clearer picture of what all this means
and why it is so crucial for individuals, legal departments and your clients that you do this. In the process he will clarify some common misconceptions.

Peter worked for over 25 years as a general counsel in various countries including more than half of that time in the UK and Switzerland. In 2015 he founded AlternativelyLegal and has ,since then, worked with thousands of inhouse lawyers in Europe and other parts of the world with his training and consulting to brand name legal departments. He has recently published two books on Amazon, Apple Books and Kobo - The T-Shaped Lawyer: A New Vision for You and Your Work and The T-Shaped Lawyer Guidebook: A Framework for Your Professional Development. His session will cover some of the key ideas from those books.
