Our panel members Hugo MacMillan, Senior Associate at Thomson Geer, Rosalie Brady, Group General Counsel, The Duxton Group, and Emma Christie, General Counsel, SAGE Group, will share their insights and observations, drawing on their experiences. on how to manage internal stakeholder demands for urgent work.

Moderator: Lidio Andreotti, Director, Gray Andreotti Advisory
Lidio is a Director at Gray Andreotti Advisory and has over 30 years’ experience as a commercial advisor and lawyer to private and public sector clients. Lidio’s particular focus is on property development, construction, and infrastructure projects.
Lidio’s experience advising public sector clients includes acting as External General Counsel to Renewal SA for 12 years, and as strategic advisor to other SA Government agencies and Ministers on significant development and infrastructure projects.
Lidio is recognised for his ability to provide pragmatic, strategic and commercial advice to public sector and private sector clients.
Hugo MacMillan, Senior Associate, Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions, Thomson Geer
Hugo is a Senior Associate in the Corporate, Mergers and Acquisitions team at Thomson Geer.
Hugo advises a wide range of clients from large multinationals to small businesses across a number of industries including aged care, healthcare, technology, agriculture, financial services and manufacturing.
While Hugo's work at Thomson Geer primarily consists of advising on all aspects of public and private acquisitions, Hugo has undertaken a number of client secondments working directly with the in-house legal departments at Statewide Superannuation, Viterra and the Adelaide Crows. Hugo's involvement in those in-house positions has included the provision of governance and company secretarial advice, as well as assisting with day to day corporate and commercial issues. Hugo holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Corporate Finance) from the University of Adelaide and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Rosalie Brady, Group General Counsel, The Duxton Group
Rosalie joined Duxton in October 2022 as Head of Legal, Governance and Reporting. She provides legal and governance assistance across the Duxton Group. Prior to joining the team at Duxton, Rosalie worked in private legal practice in Australia and the United Kingdom, including as a partner at Fisher Jeffries and a legal director at Burness Paull, advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital raising, corporate governance, commercial contracting and financial services. Rosalie holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) from the University of Adelaide, has a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Laws and is a graduate of the Company Directors Course from the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Emma Christie, General Counsel, SAGE Group
Emma Joined SAGE Group in 2016 as General Counsel, bringing with her extensive legal expertise acquired from both private practice in Adelaide and Sydney and in-house roles within the rail and oil and gas sectors. Over the past 8 years, Emma has played a pivotal role in navigating the company through periods of substantial growth and transition, providing invaluable legal counsel on a diverse range of issues. Her contributions include facilitating business acquisitions, navigating complex regulatory landscapes and negotiating significant contracts. Emma is recognised for her ability to offer pragmatic and commercially astute legal guidance tailored to the specific needs of SAGE. Emma holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (Jurisprudence) from the University of Adelaide.
