Small Law Department Legal Update: The Challenges & Opportunities Presented by Bankruptcy: What In-House Counsel Need to Know (March 20, 2023)

It’s the “B” word and while it may be daunting at times, it is necessary to discuss. During this session, we will discuss the questions that arise from a bankruptcy - (i) whether you should continue to do business with a debtor; (ii) what happens to your contract with the debtor; (iii) how to protect your rights in bankruptcy; and (iv) what to do if you are sued for a preference or fraudulent transfer. We will also discuss what opportunities arise from bankruptcy.
