Overview (Program Summary)
Looking for a way to give back to the community in 2023? Project Citizenship helps support immigrants on their path to citizenship, and ACC Northeast has arranged a one-hour virtual training workshop for all chapter members on Tuesday, February 7th from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Participation in this session will enable you to begin volunteering in Project Citizenship programs.
Project Citizenship is a Boston-based legal services non-profit agency that helps eligible, legal permanent residents apply for U.S. citizenship. Project Citizenship has helped over 10,700 immigrants submit their citizenship applications!
This one-hour training session will cover basic citizenship eligibility and how to complete the citizenship application (Form N-400.) The training will also prepare you to volunteer and offer "application assistance" for their citizenship workshops (helping a pre-screened applicant to complete their application.) This training is mandatory for all first-time volunteers and, once this is complete, you can begin volunteering right away with Project Citizenship!
