ACC Australia
Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC AustraliaAustralia enacted its Modern Slavery Act in 2018. Now in the third reporting period, companies and their Boards are struggling with compliance with over 1,000 companies yet to respond at all, and of the 2,000 that have responded, 77% have failed to comply with the basic requirements of the Act.
This webinar will explain why the Act is so difficult for companies to comply with and present a cost-effective, technology-led solution that systematizes compliance with the Act and addresses identified shortcomings in global efforts to eliminate modern slavery.

Tim Murray, Founder and CEO, SlaveCheck Pty Ltd
Tim began his career as a civil engineer and after six years in construction management, he founded Infrastructure Control Services (ICS) in 1990. ICS was an engineering and IT consultancy which grew into a global business of over 200 people - completing projects in 33 countries - before listing on the ASX in 1999 to become ICSGlobal Ltd. Tim ran ICSGlobal for 11 years as CEO during which the company pioneered 'medical banking' for Australian private hospitals, designing and commercializing the SaaS healthcare claims & payments clearinghouse called 'Thelma' (www.thelma.com.au). Tim took Thelma to UK and US, acquiring companies in each market as a ‘beachhead’. Tim left ICSGlobal in 2010 and founded CSP Innovate (www.cspinnovate.com), providing 'collective intelligence' technology solutions to system-level problems and challenges faced by business, government and civil society. In 2018, Tim turned his sights to addressing the modern slavery problem, founding SlaveCheck (www.slavecheck.com) as a ‘profit-for-purpose’ collective intelligence solution - generating profits from companies using its SaaS platform to simplify and automate modern slavery compliance; and reinvesting profits into supporting NGOs and other modern slavery stakeholders with free technologies with which to lead, coordinate and manage the global collaborations necessary to eliminate modern slavery.
