Julie Raneda
Partner, Schellenberg Wittmer
Julie Raneda is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's international arbitration practice in Singapore. She represents clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations.
Julie has been involved as counsel in complex arbitrations seated in civil and common law jurisdictions and also acts as an arbitrator. Her main areas of expertise include construction and engineering, energy, pharmaceutical/life sciences, manufacturing and international sales.
After completing a degree in international relations at the Graduate Institute Geneva, Julie graduated with a law degree from the University of Geneva. Julie was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 2011 and to the Singapore bar in 2016 (foreign lawyer). She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
Julie is the chair of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) South East Asia Chapter and the co-chair of the IPBA Next Generation Committee. Julie is AIJA's National Representative in Singapore and a co-founder of the Women's Business Society established in Geneva in 2012.
Jon Bett
Associate Principal Counsel, The Walt Disney Company
Jon is Associate Principal Counsel at The Walt Disney Company in Singapore. He advises on Disney’s Media and Entertainment Distribution business throughout South East Asia, with particular focus on distribution partnerships for Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar. Prior to that, he spent 13 years in several roles with a global sports marketing group, latterly as General Counsel Asia, where he advised on all legal and corporate aspects of the group’s business in APAC and was a member of the regional management team. He moved to Singapore 16 years ago in 2006, having previously qualified as a corporate lawyer in London, UK.
Jasmine Karimi

A seasoned General Counsel, Jasmine brings rich multi-industry and cross-cultural perspective to strategy, problem solving and risk management, having led Legal & Compliance teams across diverse sectors (Media, Manufacturing, Luxury Retail, Healthcare, Agro Science), in MNCs in the US, UK, Canada, HK & Singapore.
As APAC General Counsel for FMC Corporation (an NYSE listed agricultural sciences company), Jasmine also leads various D&I initiatives, via the FMC APAC Inclusion Council, to foster a truly inclusive workplace.
A frequently invited speaker at industry and professional forums globally, Jasmine is a licensed attorney in England & Wales, Singapore, Canada, and Hong Kong. In addition to the Board of ACC Singapore, Jasmine is a Governor at the American Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, serves on the SIAC Users Council and was previously the President of ACC Hong Kong. Jasmine has been named as one of the leading influential in-house lawyers in business in Asia in The Legal 500: Corporate Counsel 100 Asia and featured in the inaugural edition of the World’s Leading General Counsels book.
Lara Quie
Founder & CEO, Lara Q Associates
Lara is proud to be a Eurasian (British/Japanese) who has lived and worked in several countries as a corporate lawyer and then, as a business development and marketing professional.
Following a life event in November 2019, Lara decided to focus on her passion for helping others be their best and became an ICF certified executive coach. She launched a boutique coaching and business advisory called Lara Q Associates, through which she coaches lawyers, leaders, and founders.
Lara is also the Head of Business Development Asia for Twenty Essex, a leading international barristers’ chambers. She is the host of The Legal Genie Podcast and mother to three wonderful daughters.
