Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC ChicagoIn today’s politically charged environment, companies are facing pressure from customers, employees, interest groups and other stakeholders to take positions on social, political and electoral issues at the risk of becoming targets of political retaliation — e.g., Disney and the “Don’t Say Gay” law; Delta Air Lines and Georgia’s voting restrictions and now, numerous companies and their response to the Dobbs decision.
Several legal issues are implicated, including corporate free speech, corporate political giving, associational and industry coordination, corporate lobbying, ESG/crisis management, employee speech/mobilization and electoral politics.
In a roundtable-style discussion, we will discuss these issues and best practices for dealing with competing interests.
