Moving To “Work From Anywhere”: International Employment Law Issues to Consider

As a result of the WFH reality brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic, many employers are reevaluating their approach to mandatory work locations. Indeed, many businesses are considering hybrid and fully-remote work policies, including the opportunity to work “from anywhere”, whether temporarily or permanently.  These policies may be helpful tools to retain existing human capital and recruit new talent. However, any policy permitting cross-border employment should be accompanied by an analysis of the related employment law implications. This presentation will walk ACC Members through the issue-spotting process and some of the key considerations that arise in this scenario.
