How do you go about leveraging a DPIA as a flexible and scalable tool to help you to systematically and proportionately identify and minimise the data protection risks of a project as part of your organisation’s accountability obligations?
The DPIA has its origin in the “Privacy by Design’ principle, and was coined and championed by Ann Cavoukian, the former Privacy Commissioner for the Canadian Province of Ontario, who was born in Cairo.
The DPIA has become a core component of global data privacy legislative requirements, including in the MENA region.
