Overview (Program Summary)

ACC ChicagoWe invite you to be part of a group of ACC members and their families as we volunteer for an outdoor shift at the Bunker Hill Forest Preserve in Niles. The event will include gathering and scattering seeds, removing invasives, and cutting and burning Buckthorn, a nature walk and lunch. We will use hand tools including loopers and saws. You can choose to focus on one or all tasks. There will be a brush pile fire nearby where we dispose of the cuttings.
Lunch will be provided. A waiver must be signed for everyone who is attending. We will send waiver to all registrants. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Notes
Wear long sleeve shirts, long pants and closed toe shoes. Bring your own water bottle and, if you have them, work gloves. Tools will be supplied. Meet up in the parking lot at the north end. Look for yellow "volunteer" signs.
