Doriann H Cain, Associate, Faegre Drinker
Doriann Cain works with clients to enhance their privacy and cybersecurity practices from compliance to incident response. Doriann’s experience includes advising clients on a variety of privacy and security laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), and state breach notification statutes. Notably, Doriann is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) in the laws of the United States for the private sector.
Amy E. Keller, Partner, DiCello Levitt Gutzler
Amy has experience successfully representing consumers in a variety of complex litigation cases in leadership positions across the United States, including privacy, data breach, product defect and public client lawsuits. She focuses her practice on class action litigation and consumer protection matters in particular. She represented nearly 150 million consumers as co-lead counsel in the multidistrict action In re Equifax, Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litig., No. 17-md-02800 (N.D. Ga.); currently represents 300 million consumers as co-lead counsel in In re Marriott International Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litig., No. 18-md-02879 (D. Md.); and serves as co-lead counsel in a medical information data breach case in In re American Medical Collection Agency, Inc. Customer Data Security Breach Litig., No. 19-md-02904 (D.N.J.). Amy is an elected member of the American Law Institute and serves on Working Group 11 of the Sedona Conference, focusing on data security and privacy. She is also a board member and Executive Committee member of the Public Justice Foundation, a not-for-profit consumer advocacy organization. She serves as her firm’s technology, data security, and privacy practice group chair, which was named a Law360 Practice Group of the Year in 2020.
Jeremiah Posedel, Partner, Faegre Drinker
Jeremiah counsels multinational and domestic companies on data privacy and strategy matters and information technology transactions. He is an authority on the fast-growing body of federal, state and international data privacy and security regulations and standards, including the FTC Act, GLBA, FCRA, HIPAA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM Act, TCPA, CCPA/CPRA, NAIC model regulations, DAA Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising and the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Jeremiah collaborates with organizations to develop and implement comprehensive privacy programs and compliance strategies relating to Big Data initiatives, digital, omnichannel and interest-based advertising, IoT and mobile technology, InsurTech, blockchain and distributed ledger technology, cross-border data transfers, and other data-related business endeavors. Jeremiah also structures, drafts and negotiates a wide array of information technology and data sharing transactions, including cloud services agreements, outsourcing engagements, InsurTech channel partners arrangements, software and database licenses, system implementation and support agreements, reseller and distribution contracts, and marketing and data analytics services agreements. Jeremiah is a certified information privacy professional (CIPP US/Europe/Canada) and technologist (CIPT), as well as a visiting lecturer of law at Germany’s top-rated law school, Bucerius.
