Program Description:
This program will provide continual updates on key issues, trends, and developments in labor and employment law. It will focus on the changes in place or ones that are coming as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will address and revisit issues that first arose a year ago when COVID-19 set in, where they currently stand, and where they might go with the end of pandemic hopefully on the horizon. Also, there will be significant changes in the employment arena with the Biden administration taking over, and several of them have already been flagged. This CLE will provide updates on the changes implemented and expected to be implemented by the Biden administration. This CLE will also preview employment cases that the United States Supreme Court will likely consider in its upcoming term.
Topics Include:
- COVID-19 Issues (20 minutes)
- Expected Biden Administration Changes (20 minutes)
- Employment Litigation Trends (10 minutes)
- 2021 United States Supreme Court Preview (10 minutes)
We encourage members to invite an associate or colleague that may be interested in joining the ACC Mid-America Chapter. The Association of Corporate Counsel offers numerous benefits and resources to in-house counsel including CLE offerings and networking opportunities and we look forward to sharing that information with others in the field.
