Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC North FloridaWe would like to invite you and your colleagues to honor the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks by participating in our service effort at The Arc Jacksonville Village. For the 11th consecutive year, Holland & Knight is participating in the nationwide 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, a service initiative created in part by Jay Winuk, brother of Glenn Winuk, a Holland & Knight partner and volunteer EMT who, on 9/11, exited the firm's New York Office and died while rescuing others during the collapse of the World Trade Center.
The Jacksonville office of Holland & Knight in partnership with our family and friends are giving back to the Jacksonville community as part of a nationwide campaign to honor those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Together we will assist The Arc Jacksonville Village with a number of painting, landscaping and maintenance projects. The Arc Jacksonville Village is an independent living community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
The Arc Jacksonville was founded in 1965 by a group of local parents and citizens who shared a common vision: a world where individuals with intellectual and developmental differences would enjoy full and independent lives brimming with opportunity, promise and purpose. Since then, it has impacted the lives of thousands of individuals and families, pioneering innovative approaches and serving as a catalyst for change. From its grassroots beginnings, the center has flourished into a respected community partner that serves more than 500 individuals a day – offering a full range of education, employment and advocacy services that empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
