Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Charlotte

Ransomware has evolved into a national security threat that is receiving attention at the highest levels of federal government and costing billions of dollars in global losses annually. This session will look at the respective roles that companies and the government play in mitigating the ransomware threat and discuss the practicalities of combatting it.

Much of recent guidance from regulators and security firms focuses on basic cyber hygiene as a continuing need to fight the evolving cyber threat landscape.  This session will focus on the core areas of effective cybersecurity and the role of general counsel in cybersecurity.

Recent sophisticated cyber-attacks involved attacks on supply chain security (SolarWinds, Accellion, Exchange, Kaseya). This session will include a discussion of supply chain security and recent government responses to those attacks.
