Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Georgia

No longer will traditional hierarchical command and control leadership approaches work. The pace of volatility, uncertainty, ambiguity, and chaos (VUCA) that leaders - formal and informal - are facing across the globe is unprecedented and not slowing down. To sustain and succeed, leaders must develop a more agile approach – navigating and growing capability to move more gracefully from expert to achiever to catalyst levels of leadership. Building on award-winning research by Bill Joiner and Stephen Josephs and others, Leadership Agility is a master competency for sustained success in today’s complex, fast-paced organizational environments. Assess where you are on the leadership continuum and how you can learn and apply skills in 3 key areas: Pivotal Conversation, Leading Teams, and Leading Change.

In this interactive session, you will:

  • Recognize how the VUCA world we live/work in requires a different approach to collaboration, problem-solving, and decision making.
  • Be introduced to the concept of Leadership Agility, the leading-edge theory of vertical leadership development, and why it is important for individuals at all levels in the organization to understand and embrace.
  • Explore the mindsets (expert, achiever, catalyst) and see them in action in a case study and the real world.
  • Assess your current level of agility and identify key leadership growth opportunities for yourself and for those you lead.
