Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC National Capital Region

Copyright law is relevant to practically every company, with applicability to subjects ranging from software to the arts (including film, music, and photography) to newer subjects such as social media and non-fungible tokens (NFTs) – and so it is more important than ever for in-house counsel to understand copyright and to stay up to date on the latest developments.

This session will touch on topics that are helpful to non-IP practitioners and seasoned copyright professionals alike, including how technology is protected by copyright (with tips for both technology producers and licensees), the legal issues facing companies utilizing photography in marketing materials, social media, how copyright law applies to NFTs, and recent developments regarding fair use and Google v. Oracle.
