Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC National Capital Region

During this presentation, a seasoned panel will discuss the challenges faced by companies involved in claims with their government customers as well as subcontractors.  We will share common mistakes made by companies that result in the need to file a claim against the government and mistakes made by other companies that have resulted in one of the Boards of Contract Appeals or the U.S. Court of Federal Claims denying the appeal of a contracting officer’s decision.  In addition, we will examine issues that can arise in the context of a prime contractor/subcontractor relationship and effective strategies for managing outside counsel during the litigation process.

Presented by Paul A. Debolt and James Y. Boland, Partners with Venable LLP, David Newsome, Assistant General Counsel Government Contracts, Executive Director at Vectrus, Elizabeth Gill, Vice President, Deputy General Counsel at CACI International Inc., and Danielle Noe, Division Vice President and Corporate Counsel at Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc.
