Overview (Program Summary)
A program hosted by:
ACC AustraliaThe exodus of a large sector of the workforce from air-conditioned offices to their own lounge rooms has been one of the most significant and dramatic changes to the world at work in Australia. Yet the suddenness of the change has meant that many employers have not had the luxury of reviewing its work health and safety implications. Yet the transition has been longer than anticipated by many, and even after the Government relaxes restrictions, employers should expect that significant numbers of employees may not wish to (or need to) return to the office.
In this Webinar we interview work health and safety guru, Sue Chennell, Director of Shared Risk & Safety, about what employers should be doing to ensure the health and safety of their home-workers. We seek answers to your burning health and safety questions such as:
- what are the key health and safety risks in working from home?
- how should these risks be managed?
- is it good enough to ask an employee to complete a self-assessment form?
- do you really need to buy them an ergonomic chair?
- are there different standards for short term as opposed to long term home workers?
