Brad and Doug will discuss recent key trade secrets cases and their practical impact, along with tips for protecting trade secrets when your workforce is working from home.

Doug Hass, Chair, ACC Employment and Labor Law Network, Chicago, IL
Doug has more than 25 years of legal, management, and operations experience, centered on technology-intensive businesses. He is the current Chair of the ACC Employment and Labor Law Network, a group of nearly 7,000 labor and employment attorneys worldwide, and past Co-Chair of the Network's traditional labor law subcommittee. Doug has served as General Counsel and Secretary of a Nasdaq-listed dairy company and advised and represented a wide range of clients on business, litigation, and compliance issues, including labor relations and employment matters. He spent nine years as COO at ImageStream, a multinational telecommunications and Internet networking equipment manufacturer and was Vice President and Partner at Skye/net, a major Midwest-based Internet service provider. He holds a J.D. from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in Bloomington, Indiana.
Brad Lane, Shareholder, Brinks Gilson & Lione, Chicago, IL
Brad is a patent attorney and shareholder at Brinks Gilson & Lione, who works with clients to identify and understand their business objectives and think forward to the best way to achieve them. He has handled a broad range of intellectual property cases, with an emphasis on patent and trade secret cases, and related licensing matters. Brad is hands-on at every stage of a litigation, from pleadings, through discovery and dispositive motions, to trials and appeals. Brad has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Litigation-Intellectual Property; Managing Intellectual Property Magazine, as an IP Star; Illinois Super Lawyers, Intellectual Property-Litigation; and is an American Bar Association Fellow.
