Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC San Antonio
Please join us on September 24th for a special round table discussion led by former federal prosecutor, Erica Giese, on the topic of "Civil Rights, Prosecutorial Discretion, and the Evolving Corporate Response to Misconduct." Erica will bring us a candid conversation about the ever-changing response to civil rights violations, investigations, and prosecutions. Learn about ways to respond if your business is embroiled in a civil rights or police brutality incident. Wendy’s, for example, became embroiled in the Raychard Brooks matter after Mr. Brooks was shot in the restaurant’s parking lot. The company likely suffered great reputational damage. Erica will bring us a view from both sides: law enforcement and victims. She has prosecuted and investigated numerous cases involving brutality by police. She has also declined to prosecute a few.
