Climate change litigation: Where does it go from here?
In 2017 a handful of municipalities grabbed headlines around the globe when they launched a spate of climate change lawsuits against some of the world's largest energy
companies, leading some to wonder if this was the last frontier of climate change litigation that could finally topple the energy industry. What happened to those lawsuits? During this
presentation, speakers will:
• Provide an update on the current state of climate litigation
• Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the plaintiffs' evolving legal theories
• Explore the possibilities of additional frontiers of climate change litigation on the horizon
