Overview (Program Summary)

ACC Houston and The Texas Lawbook CLE Webinar
The Bankruptcy Pandemic | 12:00 noon to 1:15 PM | The Texas Lawbook

Texas is witnessing a record number of businesses filing for Chapter 11 protection due to the decline in commodity prices and the COVID-19 pandemic. This CLE webcast hosted by the ACC DFW and Houston Chapters and The Texas Lawbook will examine the numbers, why companies are choosing their law firms, how clients and firms select their venue to file and what makes for a successful restructuring. The panelists include two corporate general counsel (Andrew Wright of Talen Energy who was GC at Energy Future Holdings, Victoria Lazar who handled Bristow’s Chapter 11 and former American Airlines GC Gary Kennedy) and a partner at Weil Gotshal, which has handled some of the most complex corporate restructurings in Texas history. 1.0 hours CLE - TX (includes 0.50 hours Ethics credits)
