Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Central Ohio

Ohio's Senate Bill 220 was passed by the General Assembly on June 27, 2018 and became effective November 2, 2018. This first-of-its-kind legislation could change the cybersecurity landscape for many companies. Companies that adopt and comply with a written cybersecurity program that conforms to one of several available industry information security control frameworks are entitled to an affirmative defense to tort actions brought in and under the laws of the State of Ohio.

You are invited to attend a fantastic panel of speakers to learn more about the legislation and how to position your company to take advantage of this development in the law. The event will included a presentation on various aspects of the bill and practical guidance on how to implement and execute legal and technical strategy, which will be followed by a panel discussion and Q&A.
Light refreshments will be served at 9:00am. The program starts at 9:30am.
