Program Description:

Join our May 8th CLE program as Kim Seten, Partner and Associate Liaison presents the “Top Ten Best Practices to Reduce Employment Litigation Exposure.”

It’s an ongoing challenge for even the most careful employer to avoid getting hit with a lawsuit brought by an unhappy employee. From background checks to pay practices to leave issues, this segment covers the best practices employers can use to reduce the risk of employment litigation or, at the very least, put themselves in a favorable position if an inevitable lawsuit threatens.

Topics Include:

  • Background on how to avoid lawsuits from employees (15 minutes)
  • Review examples and ways to minimize litigation exposure (10 minutes)
  • Best Practices to reduce risk in the workplace (20 minutes)
  • Effective tools to avoid threats  (15 minutes)

We encourage members to bring an associate or colleague that may be interested in joining the ACC Mid-America Chapter. The Association of Corporate Counsel offers numerous benefits and resources to in-house counsel including CLE offerings and networking opportunities and we look forward to sharing that information with others in the field.

Please Register by May 4th
