2018 witnessed some groundbreaking changes in privacy laws and regulations that employers may need to be aware of in the coming year. At this roundtable event, we will discuss lessons from the first several months following the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act and how companies can prepare for compliance with the Act, and notable trends and decisions in data breach litigation and regulations in the past year, including the Pennsylvania Supreme Court's recent decision in Dittman v. UPMC.
Speakers will be Risa B. Boerner (CIPP/US) and Lauren Fuiman Cell. Risa is the Chair of Fisher & Phillips' Data Security and Workplace Privacy Practice Group and she regularly advises employers on data privacy issues. Lauren Fuiman Cell is an Associate with Fisher & Phillips who works with both regional and national employers on issues related to workplace privacy.
