ACC Westchester/Southern CTFor better or for worse, emoji are now an established part of human communications, including professional (and unprofessional) communications. Emoji are popping up more and more in literature, political speech, public health warnings and of course, court opinions. What can companies do to adapt to the emoji explosion? This CLE will take you through some basic emoji meanings, hidden and otherwise, how courts have addressed emoji and how companies can consider policies to address emoji use at work. These policies will include use of personal mobiles for work and employer rights and obligations with respect to this data. This CLE will also offer a cutting edge view into how to use e-discovery tools to search for emoji, and how to interpret them once you find them.
