Overview (Program Summary)

A program hosted by:

ACC Chicago

Many job seekers take a passive approach to their job search that invariably includes several hours a day sitting behind their computers answering online ads. And then they wonder why they aren't making the progress they believe they deserve. The job search is a "marketing" exercise where you package your skills, build a target company list, develop campaigns that drive awareness for your skills, seed social media, broaden your network and engage your audience to create interviews. That takes an integrated marketing approach to job search but it also requires a "what the hell do you have to lose" attitude in order to make significant activity. During this presentation, Marty Gilbert, job search coach and founder of the NorthShore Executive Networking Group (NSENG), will present his perspectives on the following topics:

Where many job seekers fail in their search What is the "What the Hell" approach to job search? 10 "What the Hell" moves The marketing power of combining LinkedIn with proactive networking

There is no CLE credit for this program.
