Sameer Ghaznavi, Of Counsel, DLA Piper LLP
Sameer Ghaznavi represents utilities, developers and sponsors in relation to the development and acquisition of traditional and renewable energy facilities. Sameer's experience includes the structuring and negotiation of purchase and sale agreements; joint operating agreements; engineering, procurement and construction agreements; operations and maintenance agreements; traditional and synthetic power purchase agreements; turbine supply and leasing agreements; fuel purchase agreements; professional services agreements; and long-term part supply and service agreements. Prior to entering private practice, Sameer was in-house counsel at a Fortune 200 energy company, and a publicly traded independent power producer headquartered out of Alberta, Canada. Sameer earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, and his B.A. in Economics from the University of Alberta.
