ACC ChicagoGeneral counsel are feeling the pressure to contain costs — and to look beyond the traditional options for reducing their spend. Whether managing a deal, a litigation or a day-to-day legal matter, strong teamwork between internal and external players can increase efficiency and reduce costs. Strategic pricing also can be a helpful tool for managing budget and gaining predictability. This presentation will describe why and how legal departments should take the lead in establishing a process to keep legal, business development and all other constituents (including accounting, treasury, HR, communications, boards of directors, bankers and others) working as a team despite their competing interests. We also will dig into best practices to form strategic pricing arrangements that appropriately distribute risk between the company and the firm and effective factors and methods companies are using to successfully structure these agreements.
