If you’re looking to tick off some career goals in 2021, then we have the answer for you! Applications for the 2021 Future Leaders Mentoring Program are open now.
Over a 10-month program, you are supported by a mentor that has been carefully assigned to you by ACC Australia’s Head of Programs, Karina Butera.
“The ACC Australia mentoring program allows participants to set aside regular time to focus on pure career development, not just development within their current workplace which tends to be the focus of personal performance reviews within organisations,” shares Karina.
“Without program structure, pure career development can sometimes be difficult to achieve in our busy lives, letting another year pass without dedicating any focused time or energy to think about career development.”
Linh Tran, 2020 Mentee of the Year Winner, and Legal Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer at The Arnott's Group, shares that unlike a casual mentoring arrangement, this program “helped me establish a structured approach to setting and achieving goals. My mentor helped break down my overall goal into sub-goals. As I achieved these, my confidence and self-belief gradually developed, and this ultimately helped me reach my overall goal.”
Linh feels she and her mentor were well supported by the association, while still having the freedom to conduct their relationship as suited to them. For Lihn, this included monthly catch-ups over coffee for a few months, before the pair decided to wind them back to ad hoc phone and email discussions.
“The program provides a great opportunity to get to know another practitioner whom you might not otherwise cross paths with, and you just never know what positive outcomes might flow from the mentoring relationship.”

If you are participating as both a mentor and mentee, the administration fee is waived. Applications close on Friday 11th December, with the program commencing 1st February next year.
