Definitions:
For purposes of these ACC Events Registration Policies:
“ACC” refers to the Association of Corporate Counsel, the ACC Foundation, the ACC Credentialing Institute, and/or any other affiliates of the Association of Corporate Counsel, as applicable with respect to the relevant Event.
“ACC Event”, “ACC Events”, “Event” or “Events”, mean any one or more of events of ACC (in any format, in-person, virtual, or hybrid), including, but not limited to, the ACC In-house Counsel Certificate Program, Legal Ops Con, Chief Legal Officer Global Summit, Corporate Counsel University, Securities Law + Disclosure Seminar, Executive Leadership Institute, Annual Meeting , ACC Foundation Cybersecurity+AI Summit, Global Women in Law and Leadership, Corporate Counsel Classic, and/or Good Lawyers to Great Lawyers Retreat.
“platform” means the virtual environment, such as, without limitation, a web-based environment and/or mobile app, used by ACC and/or made available to registrants and/or other parties such as, without limitation, sponsors, for an Event.
“ACC membership” and “member” refer to membership of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
“you” or “your” mean the registrant or attendee to the Event.
Registration Policies:
Registration fees for Events include sessions, scheduled meals/receptions, and access to written materials if any. They do not include travel expenses, hotel accommodations, or personal expenses. Except for ACC Foundation events, nonmember rates include one-year of ACC membership. Nonmembers must be in-house counsel or a legal operations professional (membership eligibility rules apply). ACC membership and meeting registration will be confirmed pending approval of eligibility.
Antitrust:
The antitrust/anticompetition laws of many territories prohibit agreements, combinations, and conspiracies in restraint of trade. By participating in this Event, you agree to not act (or fail to act) in a manner that would violate these antitrust laws or cause an unreasonable restraint of trade; and you agree to comply with the terms of ACC’s full Antitrust statement and ACC competition law guidelines, which are available in the ACC Terms of Use at https://www.acc.com/about-acc/privacy-policies/acc-terms-use
Code of Conduct:
All attendees must agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. If you are unable or unwilling to agree to abide by this Code, you shall abstain from registering for this Event.
The Code of Conduct applies to in-person and virtual Events alike. ACC reserves the right to suspend or remove from the Event (temporarily or permanently) any attendee who violates the Code of Conduct. If you are removed from the Event for violating the Code of Conduct, you will not be entitled to a refund of your Event fees and you may be subject to disciplinary action.
Personal Information & Privacy:
Event Mobile App and/or Virtual Event Platform
In order to provide you with access to the event mobile app and/or virtual event platform, ACC needs to share your personal data (name and email address) with the mobile app and platform vendor(s), which will be acting as data processor(s) to provide the mobile app and virtual platform for the Event.
Hotel
By registering for the Event and if reserving a room at one of the hotel properties within ACC's official block, you grant the Hotel permission to provide ACC with information about your stay at the Hotel, including your guest information. ACC will request the minimum amount of information necessary to accomplish its purposes.
Privacy Policy & Special Terms and Conditions
ACC processes your personal data in accordance with ACC’s privacy policy. By registering for the Event, you agree to special terms and conditions.
Event Attendee Waiver and Release of Liability:
By registering for this Event, you voluntarily assume all risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, cost and/or expense (collectively, “Claim(s)”), of any kind, that you (and/or your guests, relatives, contacts or others) may incur in connection with your travel to (or from) or attendance of the Event, except to the extent the Claim is directly caused by ACC’s gross negligence or reckless or intentional misconduct.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU HEREBY IRREVOCABLY RELEASE, DISCHARGE, AND COVENANT TO HOLD HARMLESS AND NOT TO SUE, ACC, THE ACC FOUNDATION, THEIR RESPECTIVE EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, REPRESENTATIVES, CONTRACTORS AND AFFILIATES, OF AND FROM ANY SUCH CLAIM(S) (WHETHER BASED ON NEGLIGENCE OR ANY OTHER GROUNDS) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR(AND/OR YOUR GUEST(S)’) TRAVEL OR ATTENDANCE IN CONNECTION WITH THE EVENT, EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT THE INJURY, ILLNESS, DAMAGE, LOSS, LIABILITY, COST AND/OR EXPENSE WAS DIRECTLY CAUSED BY ACC’s GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR RECKLESS OR INTENTIONAL MISCONDUCT. If ACC changes the Event location and/or dates, this waiver and release form will also apply regarding any Event thus modified.
Infectious Diseases:
- Without prejudice to the general waiver and release above, you voluntarily assume the risk of exposure to or infection with an infectious disease in connection with attending the Event; and you understand and agree that this release and waiver includes, without limitation, any Claims related to such exposure or infection occurring before, during, or after the Event. Under no circumstance is ACC to guarantee that you or others will not become infected with any disease(s) while traveling to or from or attending the Event.
- In addition to all other applicable rules relating to the Event, you agree to comply with all procedures that ACC and/or the Event venue(s) may implement regarding infectious diseases. You agree that you may be required to leave the Event for not complying with such requirements.
- You hereby warrant that you will take adequate precautions not to expose others to infectious diseases (such as, but not limited to, not attending the Event).
This waiver and release form will be governed by and construed under the laws of the District of Columbia (USA), without regard to its choice of law principles. You agree not to commence or prosecute any action in connection herewith other than in the state and/or federal courts of the District of Columbia.
Image Release:
Your registration and attendance at this Event indicates your consent to be filmed and/or audio-recorded and to use of your image and of your voice recording by ACC, without payment of any kind, for use in program(s) and for ACC’s other promotional/editorial activities, for future use in any and all media, now known or hereafter created.
Cancellation Policy:
Registration cancellations must be received in writing via education@acc.com. Registrations cannot be cancelled over the telephone. Cancellations for registrations processed at the non-member rate will not be refunded the ACC membership fee included with the registration. The ACC membership fee is not refundable or transferable. Without exception, registration cancellations will adhere to the cancellation policy dates for each Event which can be found on their respective webpages accessible through ACC.com or acc-foundation.com as applicable.
Attendee Substitutions:
Substitute attendees (from the same organization and eligible to attend) are always welcome. Please email your request along with the substitute attendee’s information to education@acc.com
Guest Registration Policy:
A guest is defined as a spouse or significant other, friend, or relative who is not a member of ACC, is not qualified to become a member, and does not work in an industry-related occupation. Guests must be 21+ years old.
If you want to bring a guest, please provide their name where indicated on your meeting registration.
Guests must check in at the registration desk onsite and will be issued a guest badge, which will allow access to the evening receptions ONLY. Guests may not attend any educational programs or other meal functions, or enter the exhibit area at any other time.
The registration fee is listed on each meeting's Rates page. The guest fee is nonrefundable.

Disclaimer:
The Event organizers reserve the right to change activities, topics, and presenters where necessary. The organizers shall not be liable for any loss caused by the cancellation of the Event where such cancellation is due to Force Majeure. The term “Force Majeure” means any circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the organizers including but not limited to war, hostiles (whether war be declared or not), terrorism, aircraft hijacking, military operation, riot, civil war, rebellion, civil commotion or unrest, natural disasters, acts or regulations of government, refusal to grant visas, explosions, transport delays, transport difficulties and the insolvency of airline carriers. The organizers will use all reasonable efforts to conduct the Event despite the intervention or occurrence of any such cause.
All advertised details are correct at the time of publishing. Due to unforeseen circumstances, ACC reserves the right to alter the program prior to the Event without notice. ACC reserves the right to cancel or postpone this Event.
