By registering for an Event, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions applicable to the Event, without exception – including, but not limited to, those mentioned below. Should you have any questions, please contact a staff member at education@acc.com.

Special Terms & Conditions

For purposes of these ACC Events Special Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

“ACC” refers to the Association of Corporate Counsel, the ACC Foundation, the ACC Credentialing Institute, and/or any other affiliates of the Association of Corporate Counsel, as applicable with respect to the relevant Event.

“ACC Event”, “ACC Events”, “Event” or “Events”, mean any one or more of events of ACC (in any format, in-person, virtual, or hybrid), including, but not limited to, the ACC In-house Counsel Certificate Program, Legal Ops Con, Chief Legal Officer Global Summit, Corporate Counsel University, Securities Law + Disclosure Seminar, Executive Leadership Institute, Annual Meeting , ACC Foundation Cybersecurity+AI Summit, Global Women in Law and Leadership, Corporate Counsel Classic, and/or Good Lawyers to Great Lawyers Retreat.

“platform” means the virtual environment, such as, without limitation, a web-based environment and/or mobile app, used by ACC and/or made available to registrants and/or other parties such as, without limitation, sponsors, for an Event.

“ACC membership” and “member” refer to membership of the Association of Corporate Counsel.

“you” or “your” mean the registrant or attendee to the Event.

In order to provide you with access to an Event’s virtual platform (such as, without limitation, an online website or application), ACC needs to share your personal data with the company that provides the platform for the Event’s virtual services. ACC makes no representation or warranty (whether express or implied, oral or written) that the virtual environment platform in combination with your internet connection will operate uninterrupted or error-free; and ACC cannot and does not guarantee that traffic transmitted over the internet is or can be rendered impenetrably secure.

After you have been granted access to the Event’s virtual platform, the platform will collect and store information about you. The personal data collected through the platform includes information like name, email address, company, title, location, and phone number (“Personal Information”). The platform uses this Personal Information to set up your account or allow administration and communication with you regarding your registration. The platform may also use your email address to send updates and to provide support in connection with the platform website(s), app(s) or related services.

You agree that you will not display, post, upload, store, exchange or transmit any sensitive information on or through the platform. Sensitive information includes, but is not limited to, any person’s date of birth, Social Security number, driver’s license number, other government- issued identification number, financial account number, credit or debit card number, insurance ID or account number, health or medical information, consumer reports, background checks, biometric data, digital signatures, any code or password that could be used to gain access to financial resources, or any other unique identifier of registrant or any other individual (“Sensitive Personal Information”).

Neither ACC nor the provider of the platform will ever be liable to you or any third party for any loss or damages you or any third party may experience due to your displaying, posting, uploading, storing, exchanging or transmitting on or through the platform any Sensitive Personal Information about yourself or any third party.

The platform receives information (including, but not limited to, Personal Information) when such information is submitted to the conference website or when you participate in a focus group, contest, activity, or event, request support, or otherwise communicates with the platform. Generally, no one is under a statutory or contractual obligation to provide any Personal Information to platform. However, certain information is collected automatically and if some information is not provided to platform, ACC may be unable to provide you with services or conference materials.

Data Subject Rights
You may exercise your right to opt out of data processing, as well as your right to access, modify, or delete your own personal data with ACC or directly with the platform. More information can be found in the ACC Global Privacy Policy (https://www.acc.com/about-acc/privacy-policies/privacy-policy).
