In-House Network Welcomes 14 Representatives to Help Govern the Region’s Focus and Objectives

HONG KONG (16 July 2019) – The Association of Corporate Counsel Hong Kong chapter, which serves more than 900 in-house lawyers, has announced the election of 15 new board members. As Hong Kong’s only association run “by in-house counsel, for in-house counsel,” the organization provides its members with access to materials and events specifically for in-house lawyers.

“This is an impressive new slate of board members for ACC Hong Kong,” said Tanya Khan, ACC vice president and managing director, Australia and Asia Pacific. “Their international breadth and collective track record of success will be critical assets for this active, innovative in-house community.”

Sandra Wu was elected president. She has served on the ACC Hong Kong Board of Directors since 2017 as treasurer. She is the founding partner and group general counsel for Origin X Capital, a venture capital and investment management firm.

Sharyn Ch’ang, vice president, is a corporate, IP, and technology lawyer with Asia and global experience and is global counsel and IP leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers. She has been ACC Hong Kong VP since 2017.

Eddie Bao, treasurer, is senior legal counsel and director at SS&C Technologies, a software and consulting services company focused on the financial services industry.

Davyd Wong, general secretary, is general counsel and chief compliance officer at Star Anise Limited, a Hong Kong-based legal and compliance recruitment firm.

Grace Chan serves as lead counsel, Asia-Pacific, of Commscope, a global provider of communications infrastructure and connectivity solutions.

Erika Evasdottir is regional general counsel and chief compliance officer at Origin X Capital, where she reviews investment opportunities for clients through the lens of legal, compliance, and regulation

David Lamb is executive director and group counsel of Hongkong Land Limited its principal subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Asia.

Andrew Levy is managing director and associate general counsel (APAC), Accenture, where he leads a team responsible for overseeing litigation and arbitration, as well as resolving pre-litigation client disputes.

Phillip Meyer serves as general counsel, chief compliance officer, and co-chief operating officer for investment management group Oasis Management, managing all legal, regulatory, and non-trading operations matters for the firm on a global basis.

Vincent Ng is general counsel at Klook, a Hong Kong-based travel platform. Ng is the first lawyer at Klook, and his team supported the rapid growth of the company in Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Australia.

Andrew Olson is legal counsel of PRADA Asia Pacific Limited, based in Hong Kong. Olson is responsible for the company’s legal affairs in the region, focusing on a wide range of work including commercial and intellectual property matters.

Chi Wai Pang is managing director and legal counsel at Macquarie Capital, heading the legal team in Asia, covering principal investments in the region, and private and public M&A. Pang is also regional general counsel, Asia.

Lin Shi has served on the ACC Hong Kong Board of Directors since 2008, first as treasurer (2008-2015), and then as president (2015-2019). Shin is the head of IPO Vetting in the Listing Department of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.

Kit Wilson is deputy general counsel at HSBC, where he is responsible for the legal coverage of the company’s global banking and markets businesses for the Asia-Pacific region.

Jiaxing Zhou is managing director and head of legal department of China International Capital Corporation. Zhou has served as a member of the executive committee of HKCCA since October 2012.

In 2019, the board will focus on developing new educational programs for in-house lawyers that address the latest legal trends, continue to pro-actively raise member awareness of pro bono service opportunities, expand existing relationships with other ACC chapters in the region, and provide providing new networking opportunities to members.
