ACC today announced winners of its fifth annual 'Top 10 30-Somethings' awards at its Corporate Counsel University (CCU) in San Diego.
WASHINGTON (June 14, 2016) – The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), a global legal association representing more than 40,000 in-house counsel employed by over 10,000 organizations in 85 countries, today announced winners of its fifth annual 'Top 10 30-Somethings' awards at its Corporate Counsel University (CCU) in San Diego.
Sponsored by Saul Ewing, LLP, the award program distinguishes the outstanding achievements of in-house counsel between the ages of 30 and 39. Nominations are based on the individual's contributions to the legal department, company, or organization, as well as the depth and context of their participation in efforts to advance advocacy, pro bono and community service work, and diversity in the legal profession.
"The winners have made remarkable contributions to their corporate law departments and the in-house counsel community at large, truly raising the bar for the next generation of in-house counsel," said Veta T. The ACC CCU program is specifically designed for attorneys who are new to in-house practice. Hailing from Lands' End, Hulu, Marriott International, Inc., Redbox, Intel Corporation, and Nestle USA, Inc., among others, conference panelists will highlight topics such as contracts, outside counsel management, corporate litigation, protecting intellectual property, and employment regulations.
Additionally, Scott L. Rogers, M.S., J.D., director of the Mindfulness in Law Program at the University of Miami School of Law, will give the keynote address on Monday, June 13. He will explore how lawyers and corporate boardrooms can use mindfulness to cultivate greater emotional intelligence.
