HONG KONG and WASHINGTON (1 September 2017)The Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC), the world's largest legal association dedicated exclusively to in-house counsel, today welcomed ACC Hong Kong as its newest chapter, with approximately 800 members joining the ACC global network.

ACC Hong Kong is the result of the alliance between the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association (HKCCA) and ACC, announced in July. The alliance delivers enhanced value to ACC Hong Kong members through access to the extensive ACC resource library, including regional and global-focused content developed specifically for in-house lawyers.

The associations will celebrate the formation of ACC Hong Kong with a welcome reception on the evening of 6 September. The celebration will emphasize the expanded services and connections available to ACC Hong Kong members, who now have access to the ACC peer network of in-house lawyers across six continents.

"The vast majority of in-house lawyers in Hong Kong work across borders, and as ACC Hong Kong members, they will benefit from new global connections, cross-border professional development opportunities, and resources focused on law and business in multiple jurisdictions," said Lin Shi, ACC Hong Kong president and the former president of HKCCA.

As ACC Hong Kong members, former HKCCA members now have the ability select their membership tier, with full membership ensuring they have access to all ACC resources and benefits.

"ACC members have identified Hong Kong as one of the locations where they seek increased peer connections," said Tanya Khan, ACC vice president and managing director, Australia and Asia Pacific. "By launching ACC Hong Kong, we have the opportunity to create new inroads and networks for our membership base."
