In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in our daily grind, but events like last week's South Australian In-House Counsel Day remind us of the value of stepping back, taking time out to learn and reconnecting with our peers. The conference brought together a diverse group of legal professionals to network, learn, and share ideas. Attendees praised the event for its excellent line-up of speakers who brought diverse expertise and experiences to the table. Attendees were treated to sessions on various topics ranging from high-performance teams, ethical issues, privacy law, preparing/conducting and responding to an investigation, insolvency, and legal efficiency.
"The candour of speakers really resonated with me,” said Linda Oliver, Senior Manager, Legal, Compliance and Insurance, SA Water. “There were such great attendance numbers which meant it was also a great networking opportunity and the relaxed venue made it more enjoyable too."
The perfect attendance record among registered delegates highlights how much importance our legal community places on coming together face-to-face. The event also had the bonus of taking place on a sunny day, allowing attendees to enjoy their breaks on the Australian Wine Centre patio.
"Thank you to everyone; ACC Australia for putting on a great event and to all our members for attending,” said Damien Harby, General Counsel at SA Power Networks and ACC Australia, South Australia new President. "It was a welcoming environment; there was great attendance, a good variety of speakers and excellent engagement by our members through session questions and conversations during the breaks."
If you missed out on this conference, don't worry - there are still three more In-House Counsel Days coming up. These events promise to be just as engaging and informative, so mark your calendars and join your fellow legal professionals for a day of learning and networking.
