National Volunteer Week (NVW - 18 - 24 May) gives us all the opportunity to reflect on the contribution others make to positively shape the world.
ACC Australia has a rich culture of being “by in-house, for in-house”, which thrives due to the generous contribution from literally hundreds of members who volunteer their time, talents and effort. Whether it be taking on leadership roles on the board, executive committee and regional committees; being involved in our many national portfolio committees and networks; speaking at events; providing guidance on developing education programs, conferences and social events; helping develop the careers of others through mentoring; assisting with awards judging; providing advocacy support; or sharing expertise and inspiration in our various publications, our volunteers are the life-blood of our association.
We also have incredible support from non-member sponsors, speakers and consultants who provide us with pro-bono or reduced rate venues, education and professional services.
Without the generosity of our volunteer force, we simply would fail to exist. On behalf of all our members and the businesses and communities they support, we extend our gratitude on this important week and throughout the year.
