In this Roundtable, we will be hearing from leaders from the legal and non-governmental organization (NGO) field who will explore the challenges and solutions surrounding women's rights and pro-bono legal representation. This panel aims to shed light on systemic barriers, highlight successful initiatives, and foster future collaborative public interest efforts to enhance access to justice for women.

We are excited to invite you to Hong Kong Pro Bono Week 2025! Organized by the Pro Bono Week Working Group and Committees, this year's program promises to be both inspiring and impactful.

Theme: “Pro Bono in Action: Turning Law into Justice”

This year, we focus on the vital themes of engagement, participation, and collective action. Together, we want to honor the importance of collaboration and participation in our shared mission to enhance access to justice in our community.

Throughout the week, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Share Strategies: Collaborate with fellow legal professionals to expand access to justice.
- Learn from Trailblazers: Gain insights from leaders in the field who are making a difference.
- Reignite Your Passion: Remember why you chose this profession and how you can contribute to meaningful change.

Join us in celebrating the spirit of pro bono work and take an active role in making a difference.

We all make money decisions every day, but without understanding your own financial priorities, it’s easy for today’s demands to impact tomorrow’s future goals.

This is often coupled with the fact that many find making financial decisions quite challenging, especially as you start understanding your priorities. It can be hard to gain claty - from simply being overwhelmed, or like you lack the ‘required’ knowledge to make considered decisions. While most decisions don’t drastically impact your future, some can drive you towards or away from your bigger financial objectives. But once you start to unpack these goals into smaller components, it starts getting easier.

In this session, participants will learn the importance of creating an emergency fund and the different types of insurance (health, life, disability) that are crucial for safeguarding your financial future. Many of you also deal with the nuances of intergenerational family responsibilities or have dual nationalities and need to understand how to maximise the value of international finances, investments, and estates. We’ll cover this in detail during the session.

The workshop will also provide practical steps for critically assessing your own current financial needs and end with setting up a robust personal savings strategy.

This webinar will discuss the foreign policy objectives of sanctions & export controls and how they may create tensions, if not conflicts, between jurisdictions, with a particular focus on recent developments regarding US, EU & UK sanctions and export controls policies impacting China and what globally operating companies may expect in the future
