Being an effective and credible in-house counsel is challenging, especially in times of stress and change.  But the way to get to that point is not a secret.  Instead, it takes knowledge and practice of habits and soft-skills that most of us use regularly in our non-lawyer roles – skills like mindful listening; curiosity; and self-awareness.  This two hour session includes lecture, discussion, and role play to describe and practice the primary soft-skills that are beginning to be included in most company training programs and which have helped in-house lawyers from both large and small companies to become more approachable, and more effective at accomplishing their goals.

Registration & Breakfast:     8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Program:                               9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

This program has been preapproved for one hour of PA professional ethics CLE credit and one hour of PA substantive CLE credit.

Employment and labor law is at a crossroads. The Federal Trade Commission recently voted to extend the public comment period for its proposed new rule banning employers from imposing non-compete clauses on their workers, while the National Labor Relations Board announced a decision limiting what employers can include in severance agreements. Join us to discuss.

Just in the nick of time, the ACC Georgia’s Women’s Initiative presents your opportunity for last minute CLE credit before the GA Bar deadline. The event will include the following CLE presentations from our sponsors for 2 hours of credit, including an ethics credit (Pending).

·    “Who’s The Boss – Overseeing Legal Counsel” presented by Consilio

·    “Employment Law Trends and Employer’s To-Do List for 2023” presented by Fisher Phillips
