Latest best practice trends and practical tips for how GCs/senior in-house lawyers plan for and effectively manage crises around the world

Sometimes the most serious issues arise when you least expect them. Your actions in the first 30 minutes may make or break your company’s entire response and the final outcome. A panel of Eversheds Sutherland experts Kym Kochis the co-head of Global Litigation and Matthew Taylor, UK Partner Commercial Dispute Resolution which will include in-house perspectives from Justin Brennan with EPAM and Jack Barrett with BDP international. This panel will look at three different scenarios and give you the practical tools to make sure that you are able to react in the best possible way should you ever need to do so.

Jack Barrett, GC and Corporate Secretary, BDP International. Jack is responsible for all global legal operations, global compliance including corporate governance and policy. Jack’s background includes being a US Army Reserve Officer for 25 years. Over his years of experience the crises he has dealt include numerous shipping issues, hurricane Katrina and 9\11, to name a few.

Justin Brennan, Assistant General Counsel, EPAM. Justin focuses on EPAM’s corporate, securities and intellectual property matters. He previously held in-house counsel positions with companies in the pharmaceutical, consumer finance and chemical distribution industries.

Kym Kochis, Eversheds Sutherland (US) co-head of Global Litigation. Kym focuses advising clients in the financial services industry facing complex class action litigation and corporate governance issues.

Matt Taylor, Eversheds Sutherland (UK) Litigation Partner, Matt focuses on commercial dispute resolution and advises corporate clients managing their disputes and best protecting their commercial interests and objectives around the world.
