Please join our ACC NCR Community Service Committee and our Maryland Advisory Committee for an evening packing food at Manna Food Center. Manna Food Center provides food to nearly 2,000 households each month, helping the working poor stretch their limited dollars so they can afford a better life. Since 1983, Manna Food Center has given food to more than 1.7 million people in Montgomery County, MD.

Our group will pack boxes of non-perishable items from Manna's warehouse and will prepare the boxes for distribution. Family and friends are welcome but children must be at least 11 years old and participate along with an adult. Youth volunteers can earn service hours. Volunteers should be comfortable bending, lifting, and standing on their feet for the duration of the event.

Space is limited due to the size of the project. Please check your calendar before registering.

From a safety and health perspective, the presentation will cover OSHA’s proposed standard on heat illness and prevention, as well as OSHA’s walkaround rule.
