Please join us as we discuss insights and strategies for employers navigating the rapidly changing world of workplace technology and artificial intelligence.  Technology in the workplace can be a valuable and resourceful tool, but employers need to be aware of potential pitfalls, the patchwork of federal agency and state legislation, and compliance.  We will discuss the disparate impact caused by AI and how to incorporate the use of technology in your pay equity and audits.  Additionally, as HR departments increase their use of AI, we will analyze the impact on DEI, evaluating if AI can increase bias and how to avoid pitfalls.  We will discuss the various ways employees and HR are implementing the use of AI and provide other key takeaways.

Presented by Bob Quackenboss, Partner and Meredith Gregston, Senior Attorney at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP, together with Mary Beard, Senior Technology Counsel at HCA Healthcare.

1.5 Hours of VA MCLE pending.

To follow on this year's IWD campaign theme #InspireInclusion, Baker McKenzie’s BakerWomen Committee is pleased to host a panel discussion that hopes to continue to inspire inclusion, particularly for women in leadership roles and in the boardroom. While diversity in the boardroom is increasing globally, the number of female board members across Asia still lags behind other regions in growth. The Hong Kong Stock Exchange has made inroads by requiring issuers with single-gender boards to appoint a director of a different gender by the end of 2024, which we hope will inspire the increased inclusion of women in the boardroom.

This event is open to both ACCHK and non-ACCHK Members. Please feel free to share this invitation with those in your network who may be interested in learning more about promoting inclusion in the workplace. If any non-ACCHK member is interested in attending this event, please email eventshk@accglobal.com
