The State of Corporate Litigation Today Survey Report

ACC, in partnership with Everlaw, is pleased to present this timely survey report, capturing insights from 202 in-house counsel and legal operations professionals on how legal departments handle different aspects of the corporate litigation process.

This report aims to better understand the outside counsel selection process for litigation matters, the tools that departments are using for litigation workflows, the most common cost containment strategies, and how litigation needs are expected to change over time.

The results show that monetary and reputational risks to the business are the most significant challenges in the litigation response process, in addition to the unpredictability of outcomes and costs. Respondents cite industry expertise as the top criteria when selecting outside counsel to most effectively address the litigation subject matter.

These and many more findings are revealed throughout the report, which we hope will illustrate the existing trends in the complex corporate litigation environment.
