Kiri-Ana Libbesson
Senior Legal Counsel
Settlement Services International Limited

Kiri is passionate about social justice, supporting for-purpose organisations, and providing high quality legal services.

Having commenced her career in commercial dispute resolution in Sydney and London law firms, after a few years Kiri switched her focus to the Not-for-Profit (NFP) sector, working and volunteering with various community organisations, human rights organisations, in the legal assistance sector, and now as an in-house lawyer in a large charity in the refugee sector – Settlement Services International Limited (SSI).

Prior to joining SSI in October 2018, Kiri’s previous NFP experience included working as a refugee lawyer in Mexico, a community lawyer for vulnerable women in Darwin, working on human rights advocacy in Cambodia, project coordination in a national peak body NGO, serving on the committee of a grassroots charity and co-leading it on a volunteer basis.

Her governance and management experience in NFPs, coupled with her corporate legal skills, commercial acumen, and her social justice passions, make Kiri well-placed to deliver high quality in-house legal services – particularly in the NFP sector.

Outside the office, Kiri enjoys photography, Latin dancing, and exploring the world. She has travelled through 61 countries and lived in 4 continents, including working in the Spanish language.
