Emma Drummond is the Group Head of Legal and Business Affairs for Animal Logic, an animation studio with operations in Australia, the US and Canada, which is now wholly owned by Netflix. Emma’s role is to ensure that Animal Logic successfully navigates complex international legal environments while operating within Australian and local market conditions. Emma has responsibility for providing strategic input and legal advice for all of Animal Logic’s activities.
Emma is an experienced executive and dual qualified lawyer with over 20 years’ experience, mostly in the creative industries. She has expertise in a variety of legal areas spanning banking and finance, film and TV financing, intellectual property, media, communications and technology, and commercial law. This combination of broad industry experience, time in government and commercial roles, regular involvement in international deals, and well-developed people skills allows Emma to add great value and support Animal Logic to achieve its goals.
Emma is passionate about the creative industries. She volunteers as an elected Board member and the Deputy Chair of Ausfilm, which is a government and industry body that connects the international film community with Australia’s screen incentives, talent and facilities.
