A program hosted by:
ACC San DiegoPractical Strategies for In-House Counsel in 2026
Artificial intelligence is rapidly becoming embedded in core business operations, creating new legal risks and governance challenges for corporate legal departments. In-house counsel are increasingly responsible for overseeing how AI tools are deployed across organizations, including managing regulatory exposure, contractual risks with AI vendors, data and bias concerns, and board-level oversight expectations.
This program will provide practical guidance for legal departments navigating the evolving AI landscape. The panel will discuss how companies can implement effective AI governance frameworks, structure internal review processes, allocate risk in vendor agreements, and respond to emerging regulatory scrutiny. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies to help their organizations adopt AI responsibly while protecting against litigation and compliance risks.
Participants will learn how to:
Identify the key legal risks associated with corporate AI deployment
Develop internal AI governance and oversight frameworks
Structure vendor agreements to address AI liability and data risk
Prepare legal departments and boards for emerging AI regulatory scrutiny
