In-person: ACC Netherlands & BUREN Event

ACC Europe (Association of Corporate Counsel Europe), together with the BUREN International Legal Counsel Community, invites its members to a special in-person gathering bringing together international in-house counsel working in the Netherlands.

The afternoon will centre on fresh perspectives on managing legal risk in today’s complex business environment. Following a private visit to Museum Voorlinden, two experienced in-house leaders will share practical insights drawn from years of working at the intersection of law, strategy and risk.

Tom Fleuriot, former Global Legal Director at Reckitt and Founder of Flocsam, will open the session with “Five Foundations to Help In-House Lawyers Work More Effectively Around Risk”. Drawing on his work with executive teams and international organisations, he will explore concrete approaches that help legal teams navigate uncertainty more effectively and position risk within broader business decision-making. Efrem Prandoni, Senior Legal Counsel at Chemelex, will then take the discussion further with “The Last Resort for Risk Management”, sharing insights from his experience advising on complex international commercial agreements and managing risk when stakes are high.

Before the presentations, participants will enjoy a private guided tour of Museum Voorlinden, one of the Netherlands’ most distinctive museums for modern and contemporary art. Accompanied by a museum guide, guests will explore a curated selection of iconic artworks and immersive installations for which the museum is internationally renowned, pieces that challenge perception and invite visitors to view the world from different angles.

The event will conclude with networking drinks in an informal setting, offering time to connect with fellow international in-house counsel, exchange experiences and continue the conversation inspired by the day’s discussions.
